Das Makruh im Sinne der Scharʿa-Terminologie (Istilāḥ, Begriffsbestimmung):

The Makrooh in accordance to the Shar’a Istilaah (terminological definition):

Es ist das, dessen Verrichtung der Shaari' (Gesetzgeber) durch eine nicht bindende Aufforderung zum Unterlassen verlangt hat (Talab Ghair Jaazim).

It is that which the Shaari’ (Legislator) has requested leaving its perfomance by way of a non-decisive request (Talab Ghair Jaazim).

Es ist das, dessen Unterlassung besser oder vorzuziehen (oder angemessener) ist als dessen Ausübung. Wer das Makruh begeht, ist nicht sündig, und wenn er es in Befolgung des Gebots Allahs unterlässt, wird er gelobt und belohnt.

It is that which leaving it is better or preferred (or more appropriate) that doing it. The one who does the Makrooh is not sinful and if he leaves it in compliance to the command of Allah he is commended and rewarded.
