Der Qur'an umfasst die Grundlagen der Religion (Usool ud-Deen), also die 'Aqeedah, sowie alle Arten von Aḥkām, sowohl jene, die in allgemeiner ('Aamm) und knapper (Mujmal) Form überliefert sind, als auch jene, die im Einzelnen dargelegt werden. Allah Ta'ālā sagt:

The Qur’aan encompasses Usool Ud-Deen (fundamentals of the Deen i.e. Aqeedah) and all types of Ahkaam including those which came in an ‘Aamm (general) and Mujmal (requiring detail) way and it also includes that which has come in a detailed manner. Allah Ta’Aalaa said:

Und Wir haben dir das Buch herabgesandt als Klarstellung für alle Dinge und als Rechtleitung, Barmherzigkeit und frohe Botschaft für die Muslime (An-Nahl 89).

And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims (An-Nahl 89).
